The wonders of the new digital channels
OK so I've discovered this new feature on my internet explorer where I can click a button and instantly connect an article to my andrewaltenburg.com blog.. kinda cool (and wow, saves a few steps and hopefully will make it easier for me to blog).
Anyway, the above article is about the digital changeover. I've held this as a slightly more actualized version of Y2K and so it's fitting that it's happening at the end of the first decade of the 21st century. Kind of like bookends.
Because I subscribe to the very expensive Time Warner Cable mafia, I at least haven't had to worry as much about this whole DTV conversion but I know it must be frustrating for some people. Still, it's kind of weird for me to think that anyone outside Manhattan thinks twice about having cable in the 21st century.
Actually as an adult, it took me a long time to justify the pricer packages and there are still times when I scale back (once Battlestar Galactica finishes it's run in four weeks, the package that contains Sci Fi will go away .. I won't save much a month but I will save some).
